"'The Comp Volume 1' features 20 previously UNRELEASED songs from 20 Wet Cassettes artists of the past, present, future, and well, some that were just formed for this compilation. Limited to 26 copies.

We pride ourselves on being a label that presents to you the "Weird and Dirty Music" that you never knew you needed, and I think we did a pretty good job summarizing that here. We go even further out into some of the oddball genres that only we and a handful of other dare to, all in under an hour.

We toyed with the title, a lot. "Weird Dirty Music for Weird Dirty People", etc. But this - the definitive statement. THE COMP. It just, works. The artwork, very fittingly, is of a cassette that we unwound and scanned.

Some tracks were lifted from sessions of albums that were previously released with us (BOBAK, Gaba Ghoul), while others are giving us a preview of the albums they will be releasing with us this year. Qualities and such will vary, but screw it, take the perfection somewhere else.

Running a small label like this and assembling a cast of 20 acts from 5 countries can be a thankless, grueling hobby at times - but to see it come together like this makes it all worth it. We sincerely hope you enjoy The Comp." - Wet Cassettes
